Banana overnights oats is simple recipe and you need only a few ingredients mixed together in a glass, place in the fridge and enjoy next morning.
Another advantage is, that you can prepare it ahead for a few days, because it will last in the fridge for 3 days. There’s no cooking, baking, and you don’t even get any extra dishes dirty. Isn’t that great?
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 medium sized banana
20 ml maple sirup or honey
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
50g of plain yoghurt (you can use plant based or lactose free alternative)
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
80g oats
200ml milk (you can use any milk you want- coconut, almond)
Topping
20g melted lotus (biscoff) spread
2 tablespoons yoghurt (you can use any yoghurt)
1 tablespoon maple sirup or honey
Directions
1. In a bowl mash your banana, add maple sirup, vanilla essence, yogurt of your choice and chia seeds.
2. Once combined add oats and milk and mix well. Set aside for 10 mins.
Topping
3. Melt the spread in the microwave for 30 secs. Once melted, add maple sirup, 2 tablespoons of yoghurt and stir till combined.
